Collapse -- MD simulation



Using soft sphere, time-driven molecular dynamics (MD) with 300 particles, the contact force-laws affect the collective material behavior.
The particle contacts are modelled as linear springs with linear damping. The tangential forces are modified:
Smooth particles (no cohesion, no friction) [1.08 MB]
Rough particles (no cohesion + friction) [1.07 MB]
Very rough particles (no cohesion + strong friction) [1.11 MB)
Sticky rough particles (cohesion + friction) [1.03 MB]
